The veteran actor Ernest Borgnine has died today from kidney failure.

Borgnine who was 95, starred in The Posideian Adventure, The Wild Bunch and a childhood favourite’s of mine : Treasure Island In Outerspace & Airwolf.

Borgnine primarily played villians or oddball characters during his career but played against type in the 1955 film – Marty as a kindly but socially awkward butcher, winning an Oscar.
