Andy Griffith the US actor and Eric Sykes the British comedian have both died. Sykes was 89 and Griffith was 86.

Eric Sykes worked with such notable comedians as Tony Hancock and Peter Sellars and starred in his own comedy series ‘Sykes And …’ with Hattie Jacques.

Andy Griffith starred in the phenomenally popular 1960′s US TV show ‘The Andy Griffith show’ and 1980′s law drama ‘Matlock’.
