Hairdresser Vidal Sassoon has died at his Los Angeles home, aged 84.
Police said that Sassoon was found in his home and had died of natural causes.
Sassoon was regarded as the best known hairdresser of his generation. In the 1960′s he revolutionised cuts, by creating a popular line of hair products named after himself.
He is also credited with creating the “Bob” hairstyle, the short geometric ladies cuts.
He was born in 1928 in London to Jewish parents and in 1948 he fought in the Arab Israeli war, before returning to London and opening a number of beauty establishments.
