As is custom on this world. Whilst I am stuck here, awaiting my intergalatic pickup, I wish you all a Happy New Year. May all of your dreams come true in the short time you have left, before the invasion fleet arrives.
Anyway, it has been a funny old year – 2011, lots of things have happened in the world.
Bin Laden and Gaddaffi were caught and executed.
A number of Arab nations rose up and continue to rise up against their respective governments.
The riots took place all over the country as people sick of being poor, rose up against the government but decided to burn a few shops and steal a few 32 inch LCD TV instead.
A number of famous people died this year, including : Peter Falk, Amy Winehouse, Henry Moore, Sir Jimmy Saville, Bubba Smith (Hightower), Macho Man Randy Savage, Roy Skelton (Zippy & George – Rainbow), Liz Sladen (Doctor Who) and more importantly, for this site : Jim Templeton who took the Solway / Cumberland Spaceman photo.
Also this year, we all celebrated the Royal Wedding and more importantly, the extra bank holiday day off.
Finally, I would just like to take some time to thank all of the contributors, commentors and readers who have made the Cumberland Spaceman website more of a success than I could ever have imagined.
Here is to 2012 and the Spaceman’s hopeful march to dominance as the no.1 resource on the Spaceman Photo on the net.
